One of our worst fears as a homeowner is waking up to running water outside in the landscape. If the main water line has a break in it then you might as well turn your water faucet on and let it run. Your timer won’t turn it off and your power to the timer won’t turn it off…You have to physically shut a valve off before the electrical valves. Most homes are equipped with a dedicated irrigation valve. These are typically located before or after a anti-siphone valve or both. In rare cases do we have to turn the whole house off in order to stop a leak.
